I'll take 'Nope' for $1,000 Alex. The answer is that, when it comes to taxes, most have a vendetta against those better off than they are. A large portion of people don't identify as 'rich' and they're above median income which makes them the very 'rich' they want badly to tax.

Everyone needs to have skin in the game, in order to limit government and maximize freedom. IMO, after excluding income below poverty line, income should be taxed at a flat rate.
