Analysis | The Finance 202: China shows it's in for long haul as Trump tariffs biteAnalysis: China shows it's in for long haul as Trump tariffs bite Xi doesn't face any elections, and can just crack down on any domestic protests, so China is well positioned to wait out Trump's insanity. Analysis: China could starve its slave labor populous for the long haul, to win a trade war. I guess Trump would have to do the same with Merica. China doesn't care how the trade wars will affect their people, they have a ruler that never needs to be re-elected and who doesn't mind enslaving people or even if people starve. We can not win a trade war with China.
