On Feb. 26, Government House Leader Steven MacKinnon put forward a motion that he said “will help us do our jobs better, will give us more time to debate more legislation—legislation that will have a positive impact on Canadians lives—and will overcome Conservative obstruction.

“No workplace would ever tolerate that kind of behaviour, least of all one that is voting on billions of dollars of supports for Canadians.” Last summer, Green Party Leader Elizabeth May was hospitalized after the spring sitting of Parliament for what was initially thought to be fatigue, but later diagnosed as a stroke.
