Telecoms company Magnet+ is investigating an attempted cyberattack after the company said its internal security systems detected an unauthorised access attempt on its IT services network on 8 April.

Magnet+ said there was no impact to its telecommunications network and services remain unaffected.Magnet+ said it is investigating the extent to which any data may have been accessed with the assistance of third-party forensic and cybersecurity specialists.

In relation to employees, the types of personal data affected included names, postal addresses, payee bank information and other data shared with Magnet+ in the normal course of employment. "There is currently no evidence that this information has been exposed by this unauthorised access," the company said.
