Hundreds of illegal structures, including shops, kiosks, warehouses and makeshift stalls were, yesterday, demolished at the popular Ojoo Market, in the Akinyele Local Council of Oyo State.

The development was part of ongoing moves by Governor Seyi Makinde to sanitise Ibadan environs and stop indiscriminate dumping of refuse.The Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development claimed it served the traders quite notice a long time ago but they refused to move out of the market, popularly called ‘Inside Net’.

In a bold move to regulate the issuance and allotment of securities by private companies, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Nigeria has introduced stringent new rules. The nation’s Civil Service, which is the hub of internal administration in government, is faced with an existential crisis on many fronts, the Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission , Prof. Tunji Olaopa, has said.
