relating to it’s alleged misappropriation of more than R900 million.

The organisation says the criminal charges come as a result of finds by the Auditor General’s 2017/18 report, which stated that the department incurred R900 million on irregular expenses. Afriforum’s Henk Maree says, “We will be approaching the offices of Mr Makhura in which we will be handing over a letter in which we ask for the dismissal of Panyaza Lesufi as the MEC of Education in Gauteng….”
