Embattled Deputy Nationals Leader Bridget McKenzie is facing more criticism for failing to declare a new investment property for three months.

Parliamentary practice gives MPs 35 days to update their register of interests after buying a property, but she did not declare the October purchase until January. Her office has blamed a long settlement period for the delay.

The latest controversy comes in the wake of the sports rort funding saga. The senator will find out whether she will stay in her role in the coming days as Prime Minister Scott Morrison awaits his department secretary to determine if she broke ministerial standards. Image: News Corp Australia

iDGiam I hate to defend the minister but it is 355 days from settlement, not exchange. Do your homework guys. ' The date of settlement is to be considered the date of alteration of interests & notification should be made within 35 days...'

Us there anyone in the LNP corporation who isn't a crook, incompetent, ignorant, who understands the job spec of the rules & laws by which we are governed? I have seen any as yet & I have been looking... Sack, them, bring in an ICAC & then gaol every single con artist they have

and she is deputy leader who cannot organise her own administrative matters yet she overseas a 100 million tax payer program and gets more than 350k in salary & allowances. Clearly well out of her depth. What could go wrong? Enough, sack her. auspol ScottMorrisonMP smh

And your Murdoch sycophants come tumbling down

And there’s no record of her own residential address, her expense claims for travel from her residence to anywhere cannot be properly/honestly assessed.

Purchase or settlement? She doesn’t own it until it’s paid for. You people in the media really hate her don’t you? Is it an anti gun thing?
