Those wanting to sell their home can do so but they cannot allow any prospective buyers to actually enter the building to view it.

"There is no need to pull out of transactions, but we all need to ensure we are following guidance to stay at home and away from others at all times, including the specific measures for those who are presenting symptoms, self-isolating or shielding. Prioritising the health of individuals and the public must be the priority.

But in a minor concession, the advice goes on:"In the new emergency enforcement powers that the police have been given to respond to coronavirus, there is an exemption for critical home moves, in the event that a new date is unable to be agreed."The advice continues:"Our advice is that if you have already exchanged contracts and the property is currently occupied then all parties should work together to agree a delay or another way to resolve this matter.

"In line with government's advice, anyone with symptoms, self-isolating or shielding from the virus, should follow medical advice which will mean not moving house for the time being, if at all possible. All parties should prioritise agreeing amicable arrangements to change move dates for individuals in this group, or where someone in a chain is in this group."Getting your home onto the market may be more challenging than usual in this period.

Dont most bank mortgage offers last for 6 months, I'm currently caught up in this but I'm not worried, lazy journalism trying to make a story out of nothing!

Wont this increase prices because of less supply and won't people just move to online 3d mapping? So virtual tours?

Well I am moving into a brand new house contracts have been signed, so I can move into new house but the person buying my house can't move in hows that going to work 🤦‍♂️

One thing might cheer me up is seeing Estate Agents jumping from London Brigde in to Thames like space hoppers

I think it’s a reasonable request. Australia has banned all open houses and public auctions during this crisis. The smart thing to do. This request is not going to change what the market is going to dictate unfortunately

You can’t eat your cake and still have it. This pandemic can’t be managed if citizens won’t sacrifice and accept that it can’t be business as usual there is a shared price to pay. In January 2020 everybody in the West thought it was a Chinese problem can’t you learn from them?

More lunacy from BorisJohnson-Need to look into a payment relief for those who had to pay your newly introduced excessive stamp duty for purchasing a house but not sold your own-2 years to sell your house and claim back stamp duty-need a holiday relief scheme for this situation

Every cloud ....

Blow? It needs a f**king hurricane. Even then FTB will still need Corona inheritance to buy.
