Leaked email reveals workers at Tesla's US car factory are allowed to stay home as production ramps up, but they might lose their unemployment benefits

Tesla is preparing its Fremont, California, car factory to return to normal levels of output, Valerie Workman, the electric-car maker's head of human resources in North America, said on Wednesday in an internal email. Business Insider viewed a photo of the message.

"Once you are called back, you will no longer be on furlough, so if you choose not to work, it may impact your unemployment benefits as determined by your local government agency — and not by Tesla," Workman said. "We completely respect your decision and will support you, without any penalties from us."

"We will be working with the Fremont Police Department to verify Tesla is adhering to physical distancing and that agreed upon health and safety measures are in place for the safety of their workers as they prepare for full production," the agency said.

I'm sure when people hear the real story .... They'll see they have been misled by your news outlet😂 lol Musk could have made the exact opposite argument and Trump would still have agreed. It's amusing to me that there are people who still talk about Trump as if he's even slightly more intelligent than the average mollusk.
