Apple was fined $12 million for misleading claims about how waterproof its iPhones are

The Autorità Garante della Concorrenza e del Mercato announced the fine on Monday, saying Apple misled the public on two counts.

So, we bought goods that don't meet standards as advertised - we paid for it, from our pocket, now the manufacturer has to pay the fine to the state - our money! That's our money that pays the fine and we are left with goods, ..well that don't meet the standards as advertised..
