A positive case attended the market on July 11. There are now close to 300 venues listed as exposure sites across the state.

South Melbourne Market is undergoing a deep clean after being identified as a COVID-19 exposure site late last night.

Several stores within the market have been listed as tier 1 exposure sites between 9:30am and 12:00pm on July 11.Dozens more venues were added to the list of exposure sites last night, including a McDonald's restaurant in Spencer Street, a train service from Heidelberg to Flinders Street, and an apartment complex in Charles Street in Fitzroy.

A busy BP service station at Calder park has been added as a tier 1 exposure site between 11:30am and 1:00pm on July 11.
