Well done Matt!

Matt Meyerhoff fell in love with climbing and bouldering eight years ago and decided to turn his hobby into a business when he noticed a gap for a climbing centre in the Lanarkshire area.

Matt went on to acquire South Lanarkshire Council’s Business Grant worth £8,000 and this was put towards the development of Hang On Climbing Centre.Matt said:"I had little experience in starting or running my own business and so I really needed some direction when it came to turning Hang On Climbing Centre from an idea into a reality.

Officially launched in early 2021, Hang On provides over 180 routes for bouldering, a type of free climbing that is exciting but safe, with crash mats for protection instead of ropes and harnesses.
