The pet-friendly hotel offers boarding, daycare and grooming services

will be expanding to 409 Route 36 in Middletown, replacing the shuttered Betsy Ross Farm Market building.Hotel for Dogs expects to open the second location in October, although it has not yet announced the exact opening date.

“I’ve loved animals since I was a young girl,” owner Jackie DeGroat told NJ Advance Media. “One day, I looked up and said, ‘I’m sick of being and employee, wouldn’t it be awesome if I could take my love of animals and turn it into a business,’ and almost 13 years later, here we are.”“We’re moving all of our grooming business over to the new building and making a beautiful salon,” DeGroat said.
