PayPal, the jersey patch sponsor for the Phoenix Suns, said it would not renew its contract with the team if owner Robert Sarver remains a part of the franchise when his one-year suspension ends.

for one year and fined $10 million after an investigation found a long pattern of transgressions that included the use of racist language, demeaning women, bullying in the workplace, and running an organization that was discriminatory towards women.

The Suns have had a PayPal insignia on their jerseys since 2018. The company’s contract with the team will run out after the end of this season and it said that it would not renew if Sarver remains “involved” with the Suns. PayPal released the statement Friday morning, a day after“PayPal is a values-driven company and has a strong record of combatting racism, sexism and all forms of discrimination,” president and CEO Dan Schulman said in the statement.

PayPal, the Suns' jersey patch sponsor, says it won't renew its deal with them if Robert Sarver remains involved with the Suns after this season. PayPal's deal with Suns expires at the end of this season. Paypal "found his conduct unacceptable and in conflict with our values."

nytimes I shocked so called journalists are falling for this. PayPal stock is down 70% in a year. They are strapped for cash and if they can weasel out of this deal on some moral high ground it’s a HUGE win for them. Helps to have clueless media backing them up.
