A third MOU, between DOT and the Minority Business Development Agency at the Commerce Department, will work to better engage and develop minority business enterprises in national transportation and supply chains through data sharing and reporting tools. “Obviously, the SBA is working closely with multiple federal agencies on their spending for small businesses and trying to better position our small businesses to compete for those contracts and for the agencies to achieve their goals,” Guzman said. “We know that there is work to be done. Small-business programs are complex. Government contracting overall is complex.”
