A continues to heat up thanks to the tight capital markets, with the latest deal seeing one of AirTree Ventures’ portfolio companies headed to a new owner.Humanforce, majority owned by renowned Silicon Valley-based private equity investor Accel-KKR,Humanforce CEO Clayton Pyne has made his first acquisition since Accel-KKR bought a majority stake in the business in May.

“It’s no secret that growth is always valued, but profitability is now the big game in town. We have a strong, profitable and growing business at Humanforce, and we see an opportunity to lean in and be a force in the consolidation of the market.”will stay on as a consultant with the business for a few months to aid the transition, but will then exit the business. The company will also undertake a strategic review of the business and assess where there could be staffing double-ups.
