As Hurricane Ian begins to make landfall on the west coast of Florida as a Category 4 Hurricane, Jacksonville's airport and port authorities' are preparing for sustained winds as the storm moves northeast.
Jaxport was the first to halt operations Wednesday when it entered Port Condition Zulu at noon, while the airport remains open but with a watchful eye toward the wind.
