A Glasgow business will compete for the top spot on a new Channel 4 series starting next week 📺

and catering business specialising in authentic ragu sauces.The pair will take their product before an expert judge for Aldi’s Next Big Thing on Thursday, October 20 to be in with a chance of winning a"life-changing" contract to stock Aldi stores nationwide.

Francesca, who launched Cateritaly in 2016 after moving to Glasgow from Italy, said: “Our Epronto recipes have been tested through years of birthday parties and family celebrations, so we’re confident in their quality and flavour. “Winning a contract with Aldi would be absolutely life-changing and a testament to the hours of hard work that have gone into perfecting our products.The six-part series will be hosted by Anita Rani and Chris Bavin with suppliers battling it out in categories including dinners, baked goods, treats and store cupboard essentials.

Products will be presented to Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK, who will then deliberate on factors such as price, packaging, shopper demand and the ability to scale up to decide who will make it to the final two.
