A Twitter poll created by Elon Musk asking whether he should “step down as head of Twitter” ended with most respondents voting in the affirmative.

A Twitter poll created by Elon Musk asking whether he should “step down as head of Twitter” ended early Monday morning with most respondents voting in the affirmative. Musk had said he would abide by the results of the poll, which began Sunday evening and concluded with 57% voting yes, 43% voting no.

“The question is not finding a CEO, the question is finding a CEO who can keep Twitter alive.” Musk has sold billions of dollars worth of Tesla stock, most likely to pay for his purchase of Twitter. That has sent Tesla’s stock sinking 11% over the past month. But Tesla shares were up 5% in premarket trading after the poll results were revealed.

From a corporate perspective if you own 51 percent of a publicly listed company you make the decisions and call the shots. You also answer to the majority stock holder that includes the CEO. If it’s another CEO they will take their orders from the major stock holder.

Elon out

Do we need a congressional committee to make sure the votes are accurate? I suggest Congresswoman Cheney to head the committee. elonmusk

And the number would've been higher had some not been concerned it was a trap to get them all suspended. Almost 60% said yes, probably would've been closer to 80-90% had there been no fear and if everyone knew there was a poll being taken in the first place.

Oh look, CNN is awake now. Slept thru the twitter files though 👀

Musk elonmusk sell off your $44bn Twitter or else it will become a cause for your downfall❗ Before & after its acquisition, you behave/d as if you want to teach a lesson to yourself❗

The guy is a real jerk. I hope Leftists start boycotting Tesla especially since the electric car field is diversifying.

He made free speech available on Twitter again

He was already fired by the Saudis, but wanted to dress that in an acceptable maneer.

We need Elon to co it ur and it is his company !

I doubt the spill is accurate if it is saying for him to step down . Twitter is too liberal and the snow flakes still have too much to say

Why are you on His site pedaling your lies? Dem: Yes, please, more censorship. Also Dem: No! Me being censored is fascism. The real problem is the lefties, (D)s, & 'journalists' have lost control of Twitter w/nowhere to go. If they had somewhere to go, they wouldn't be whining & crying.
