A panoramic view of Windermere is the kind of office view most of us dream of. But it could be the reality for anyone who successfully applies for one of the many roles on offer with Windermere Lake Cruises.
The leisure and tourism company, which runs ferry and boat trips on one of the most famous lakes in the country, is recruiting for a number of jobs. Jobseekers can apply for a range of part and full time roles, including hiring out a self-drive motor and row boat, working in the ticket offices, lakeside shops, cafés and information points.
All shifts are within sociable hours with no sailing after dark. The company will be hosting recruitment day onboard its newest vessel, the 300-seat MV Swift, which will be moored at Bowness Pier on Saturday, January 28, 10am to 4pm.“There are not many jobs in hospitality that can compare to working on England’s longest lake," said Ian Wilkinson, HR manager at Windermere Lake Cruises .
Job hourly rates start at £11 an hour. Full training is provided for all new recruits. According to Visit England Windermere Lake Cruises is one of the five most visited paid for attractions in the country. The attraction is the second most popular 'paid-for' attraction in the North West, below Chester Zoo, which is ranked third in England.
