Super Bowl LVII and the WM Phoenix Open are bringing in thousands of visitors and fans to the Phoenix metro.

"We hope that we use this vehicle to close them and have them make investments here," said Chris Camacho, president and CEO of GPEC."There are some that are earlier in the process, some that are closer to the end and there are others that are just major multinationals that we want to get someone from their executive team here."

Throughout the week, Camacho said GPEC was working with organizations such as InvisionAZ, Salt River Project, Crossover Ventures and Maricopa County Industrial Development to put on events for the visiting executives. Those included face-to-face meetings with Valley CEOs, seminars with venture capital firms, panels with national site selectors, and options for helicopter tours and recreational trips like hiking or excursions for executives to explore the state.

"We're able to come together and showcase our community at a time where there's a global spotlight on Arizona. Why not take advantage of that?" Camacho said.
