Super Bowl LVII matched up with the 2023 WM Phoenix Open – the most attended golf event in the world – which put more attention on the PGA event, leading to sellouts on two days of the event with bigger celebrities turning up to watch than ever before.

It will take several months to know the direct and indirect impact the Super Bowl and its associated activities had this past week on the Valley’s economy, but it is clear that several sectors of the Valley’s economy, particularly the hospitality industry, were busier than they had been in years, especially with the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021.
