A 'Freedom Parade' is taking place this weekend to commemorate 100 years of Market Drayton's Royal British Legion.

Market Drayton Royal British Legion at the launch of the Poppy Appeal in 2019. Jim Moore and Paralympian Mikey Hall, back: Ian Nellins, Peter Amphlett 9 and Town Crier Geoffrey Russell

The legion branch has been granted the freedom of the town, the highest honour which can be bestowed by the town council, to mark the charity's centenary anniversary.
