SOME traders in Rantau market are surprised to learn that their regular customer, R. Malarvizhi, is contesting as an independent candidate in the by-election for the state seat. Describing the housewife as friendly, Sapini Bojet, 53, said Malarvizhi often came to buy vegetables and chickens from her stall.
