A former nursing home site - closed down for serious failings - has been put on the market.

Grimsargh House in Preston Road, Grimsargh, was closed down in March 2017 after watchdog the Care Quality Commission deemed it posed a 'serious risk to a person's life, health or well-being.' Around 15 residents were affected, and all staff lost their jobs. Now the detached home, which can accomodate up to 28 people, and its two acres of grounds, are being offered for sale by the Manchester-based Landwood Group. ” The site is accessed from the main Preston Road and shares an access with another residential dwelling situated to the side of the main property. Why did the home close? The Care Quality Commission made the urgent application for closure following several inadequate inspections in the previous year. The home was placed into special measures in April 2016 and was deemed inadequate.
