Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. returned to the practice field, and with Cleveland's depth now in question at that spot again, could he be back in the fold after his benching and another knee flare up?BEREA, Ohio — Jedrick Wills Jr. returned to the practice field on Tuesday, the Browns' lone full session this week before they host the division-rival Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday night.
“Just going to continue to work through that and we’ll see on Thursday,” the Browns coach said on Tuesday when asked who would start there. Wills, who underwent his MCL surgery in December, first returned to the field in Week 3 against the Giants, but aggravated his knee in that game and had to exit early. He sat out the next week against the Raiders, but started Weeks 5-7 against the Commanders, Eagles and Bengals.
The comments rubbed many in the fanbase the wrong way, and Wills, who is one of the players on the roster who has drawn the most ire on social media and elsewhere for his performances, cared most that the coaches understood what he meant.
