Disgusting. They may be having a surge now form all the lefties but once all this settles down things may shift the other direction. I know a lot of people who refuse to ever buy Nike again.

That's because idiots bought Nike to burn them. If anything they made money to be burned

I guess all the 1/2 sales on NIKE is considered “good for business”? 🤣🤣🤣

Maybe a better question is has it been helped. People are gonna buy Nike whether he’s there or not...what new customers will he bring?

No sale. Just bought 2 pairs of shoes from another co.

Mores the pity... A disgrace to the men and women who protect America 🇺🇸🇺🇸

Good for Nike. Rewarded for standing up for what is right.

“The results don't have anything to do with the Kaepernick ad, which came out shortly after the quarter ended. Instead, the quarter benefited from the FIFA World Cup of soccer that showcased many players and teams wearing its clothing and shoes.” Read article. Long term is key.

robertmarawa Just buy it

Yep. Harvesting exorbitant prices from those who can least afford it.

No shit. Their primary customer isn’t an old racist bastard who watches FoxNews all day and yells at the TV. Imagine that. Imagine a company knowing it’s own customer demographics well enough to be able to make the right decision and still benefit financially.

It’s a global business. Most of its customers don’t know who Kaepernick is. I don’t buy Nike because they have an inferior product to NB and UA. But in some countries it the brand to wear, like Gap.

The lesson here is that the vast majority of the US population despises Trump policies. Trump’s base is small.

robertmarawa We wear the brand and not the people who are on the ad...

That's bc of all the free ads, publicity=$$

Guess that 9% drop in stock price the following day was a coincidence then.

It’s not Christmas yet

Let’s see what happens in 9 months. Can’t go by the initial reaction. I think that once large groups like police, college and high school teams move away from Nike the true story will unfold

Apparently AP doesn't follow the markets. Nike is down to under $82 after earnings report.

Because there are more people who aren’t racist than there are!

Yet

Of course not they knew what they were doing. Exploiting fake activists for money.

So as long as the make a buck it’s all good did you mean to sound like such a capitalist?

Yet?

Uproar? That’s horse crap. Whining is more like it. You should stick to reporting and leave your opinions out of it. -Mark Twain

Give it awhile!

It’s still very early to make this assessment Nike will lose in long run for this poor political position.

All my family is getting Nike something for Xmas. Never done that before. BlackLivesMatter

Surprise, surprise, surprise!

And neither would Nike be hurt by doing the righteous thing. Colin although hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;” Just Do It!

That’s not what I hear! They want u to believe there propaganda! There are lots of ppl who disagree with Colin and his mindless un American beliefs !

It just attracted a whole lot of people who forgot Nike pays slave wages. Liberals are so gullible.

Stock is down 5% on I guess on projected business . We will see

Fake news

Nike saw a jump in sales from impulse purchases to support Kaepernick. They still haven't seen the drop in sales from people who have boycotted. It's not like people buy chinese slave made shoes and shirts every day. I think the next few quarters will be more telling.

This just in: consumers are mind numbingly apathetic to most things and the stirs of the vocal extreme on Twitter do not represent normal people in the real world.

But as we all know, throw enough mud etc etc etc

Give it time. Its only been a few weeks.

I believe anything anti trump is money, Hillary got 65 million votes trump got 63 million votes, figure at least half of 63 won't vote for him again, and the fact that his base of white supremacist and nazis are generally broke Nike hit the sweet spot

Well, I mean how many 1950s style white supremecists need athletic wear? You think Trump jogs? He can't even see his D without a mirror.

DanRodricks Not true. It’s business is being truly hurt. Look beyond initial numbers. Repeat customers are way down

At one point of time, these companies need to take a stand. Love Nike's.

Yuck.

Opposite number is,,, Kapernick is a cunning runt.

We’ll keep a close eye on future earnings. Short term gain, long term...?

Is a bit early to say it, isn’t it?

Not what the stocks say...

Nike has been at the forefront of many social campaigns. Brilliant marketing.

It will hurt them in the long run, look what is happening to Starbucks now.

It's hurt their business. You can be assured.

Great. Nike makes more money. That's all this is about, right?

Don’t look to Nike for social guidance. Ever.

Don't get it. Leftists are normally against those big evil corporations that are trying to kill us.

Kap still sucks either way

AP protecting One of It's Own........if business was hurt no one would ever know it.....

Who cares? No one except Liberals

Just do it

GOD DAMN IT! I wanted it to fail. So it dropped in the stocks so I could buy it before it risen again.

doesn't have my business anymore

if the shoe fits, wear itnotmycountry

Click. Bait. “The results don't have anything to do with the Kaepernick ad, which came out shortly after the quarter ended.”

yes I just bought two pair of shoes. thanks nike!

Good for them. On the other hand as numbers show, a majority of people actually appreciated and supported Nike for standing at the right side of this.

"Purpose-driven marketing?" What purpose? Promoting a failed QB who calls cops pigs, incites racism, hates white people and whines about being a "victim" of a country that made him a millionaire? Spare me the leftist BS. America is so sick of this - ask Starbucks.

Well of course! Russian bots that push the anti-Kap, rage filled racist agenda in this topic WERE NOT CUSTOMERS, can not be and will never be customers. Real consumer researchers know... just stone age political pollsters that don't

I find it nearly comical that dudes like Presler who had built so much credibility over 2-3 years on important issues just tossed it all into the fire over this ridiculous TV advert. For what? For a big goose egg.

A cop hater and thug supporter is more popular than anyone knew.

I know tons of people who will never buy Nike again.

and it won’t be 👌🏾

It is a barometer of idiots walking around brainwashed by marketing.

It’s almost like Nike is actually aware of their target demographic and what they believe in. Hint: it’s not the fools lighting their shoes on fire.

Maybe not. But I feel very good about myself and my personal decision to no longer purchase Nike products.

An accurate tweet would be that the business has been helped. A lot.

China will release copy cat show called Mike 😂 and no one will know the difference. Nike

Not Yet..

Says the stock market. And we haven’t heard another word from the bloviating, fake patriot, drunkassed third grade dropout CONservatives.

Well that will take time. Stores are stocked. Wait till inventory is taken and reorders to retailers slow down. It will take 2-3 seats to see its affect.

Yeah.. Nike is bought by the Chinese and Russia and probably Syria. I would never buy a Nike Product again.

Only stupid people who cut holes in their socks thought that this would’ve affected Nike

The majority of Americans are on the side of good.

And yet it missed earnings 🤔🤔🤔🤔

When you pay your workers $1 a day you always make money

The people who buy those Expensive shoes Rarely Vote

Y'all ain't burning enough shoes.

Please consider voting for Democrats. It’s a vote for responsible government, consumer protection and for sanity.

F THAT. I’m hitting the Nike outlet tomorrow to buy $500 worth of stuff and burning it ALL

🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
