That changed with Bank of America'sThe U.S. government has asked banks to help it dole out at least $350 billion in loans to small businesses, part of the $2 trillion coronavirus stimulus bill signed last week. But banks and industry groups haveto get online systems up and running until just hours before the deadline. That guidance was finally issued by Treasury around 7 p.m. Thursday, leaving banks scrambling to get their systems to accept loan applications.
"Having just received guidance outlining how to implement a $349 billion program literally hours before it starts, we would ask for everyone to be patient," Richard Hunt, head of the Consumer Bankers Association, said late Thursday in a statement, adding that the organization's members would "move heaven and earth to get a system in place and running to help America's small businesses and the millions of men and women who work at them.
Still, the website for JPMorgan, the biggest U.S. bank, told customers that "We aren't accepting applications for this program at this time. Check back for updates."

Wrong. The banks may be accepting loans. They will not approve a loan until they are able to submit their application to the SBA which isn ready. My bank informed me that SBA portal isn’t ready.

Bank of America is screwing small business, and SBA is slowing down the process. They got the Portal up and the only small businesses that get benefit will be B of A customers. What if the money runs out before it gets to the small businesses that bank local and really need it.
In reality, tens of thousands of small businesses have directed their $10,000 emergency relief to their BankofAmerica business accounts but can't apply for PPP relief. They can access our loan funds, but we can't access theirs. Please don't force us to layoff our employees BofA.

BankofAmerica is refusing to assist thousands of their small business clients who only have business banking, and no outstanding loans or lines of credit. How is this not criminal? At the very least, it is cruel and unscrupulous. The government will need to intercede.

Please cover that BankofAmerica has restricted these applications to exclude most of their small business clients because the clients don’t have an existing loan. Having a business account for years is not sufficient.

I have 4 business accounts (+3 personal accounts + mortgage) and each business has a business login with BofA; however, I have never had to borrow for a business loan. This is the online application result. So I guess I have to already be in debt with them? Is this real?
They're disqualifying any of their customers without a previous loan or line of credit with them. Just spoke to a customer rep yesterday who gave no indication this would be the case. WTF
