PETALING JAYA: An enhanced movement control order will be put in place in the area surrounding the Jalan Othman Market here on the advice of the Health Minister.

In a statement on Sunday , Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri said the eighth enhanced MCO would be in place for two weeks from May 10-23 and affect about 2,900 residents, including business premises in the area."Residents are not allowed to leave and visitors or non-residents are prohibited from enter the area during the enhanced MCO period.

To ensure strict compliance to the order, the police, Armed Forces, Civil Defence Force, as well as Petaling Jaya City Council , Welfare Department and People's Volunteer Corps will be monitoring the affected areas.
