Apply for loan moratorium extension immediately, says Finance Ministry

Borrowers have been advised to apply for the loan moratorium extension as soon as possible as it is no longer automatic and their applications will take time to process. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, August 5, 2020.

THE Finance Ministry has advised individual borrowers to immediately apply for the loan moratorium extension with their respective banks from August 7 onwards. Deputy Finance Minister Mohd Shahar Abdullah said borrowers must apply as the moratorium is no longer automatic as previously.
