21/10/2020Prime Minister Scott Morrison says the government's digital business plan is revolutionising how businesses operate and was assisting the economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. "In the early phases of this pandemic, McKinsey found digital adoption by consumers and businesses leapt ahead five years in a period of eight months," he said.
Mr Morrison said the digital business plan, which formed part of the federal budget this year, invested $800 million in four key projects including infrastructure, skills and training and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises as well. "This is all part of our digital business strategy for our economic recovery and it's all on the basis of trust and security with cybersecurity investments of $1.67 billion," he said.
