The plaintiffs claim to have obtained a licence to extract forest produce of the Jerantut Forest Reserve from Pahang Forestry Department.

The application for permanent inter-parte injunction filed by two logging companies against eight villagers who allegedly obstructed the extraction work of forest produce near Kampung Baharu, Jerantut, will be decided on Nov 5.

High Court judge Zainal Azman Ab Aziz set the date during mention proceedings today, and the matter was informed by lawyer Jacob Goldie, who is representing the two logging companies...
