The website, home to a host of far-right extremists, was also deplatformed by Apple and Google.

on the platform before it went down that it was unclear when the service would return, as additional vendors had dropped support for the platform and “most people with enough servers to host us have shut their doors to us.”

Parler asked the U.S. District Court of the Western District of Washington to issue a temporary restraining order to stop the site from going offline, saying in their lawsuit that Amazon’s decision will force the website offline for “a financially devastating period” of time. Parler also pointed to a deal AWS had made with Twitter as alleged evidence of anticompetitive practices, claiming that Twitter’s decision to ban President Donald Trump and the possibility he and his supporters could move to Parler made the social media startup a “looming threat to Twitter.”

“Without AWS, Parler is finished as it has no way to get online,” the company said in the lawsuit, alleging that delaying a restraining order “by even one day could also sound Parler’s death knell as President Trump and others move on to other platforms.”

'HEY, you won't let us organize our racist, terrorists, seditionists onto a free speech platform?! But WHY?! We have the right to be assholes!' GOD. I am so sick of people using our constitution to cry about their so-called liberties when they ignorantly think this shit is okay.

anybody with minimal computer skills could have set up a private server farm for under $30k to keep this up and running. everything eluded to here is the 'easy' way to make money was gone, but there are still so many ways they could have stayed active. they choose to go dark.

Conservative should create their own stand alone platform, but guess what; The people who create tech are usually former nerds, and conservatives are former bullies of those nerds

How about you go on TV. Hold town halls and press conferences. Let your constituents ask questions instead of hiding behind your Parler app.

Conservative voices are being silenced in the same way my voice was being silenced when I was banned from club penguin in 2007.

I'm a little conflicted on how to feel about this. I agree with conservatives that companies like Amazon, Facebook, and Twitter have way too much say in what is allowed and isn't allowed to be displayed online. But blocking threats and misinformation isn't the issue.

Parler provides a platform for the expression and incitement of Seditious Conspiracy, rebellion and insurrection, domestic terrorism, and hate speech and hate crimes. Funny how now, all of a sudden, it seems to care about the law.

Awaiting a response on this....This isn’t about freedom of speech Parler... it’s the incitement of violence in the Free Speech... Clean it up!!!

Parler learning about business ethics real time......

They don’t want to play with bigots. Good luck with that in court

Good luck with that. They were actively hosting the organization of an armed rally at the inauguration

Good luck with that one bud

Which court in the USA is going to rule in favor of Parler and say go continue the insurrection of the USA

Wont do anything

They may not have read the fine print

Right wingers running back to twitter to comment.
