The Biden administration should expand antitrust cases against Alphabet's Google and Facebook and encourage breaking up companies, according to a group whose founder is working with the president-elect's transition team.

WASHINGTON - The Biden administration should expand antitrust cases against Alphabet’s Google and Facebook and encourage breaking up companies, according to a group whose founder is working with the president-elect’s transition team. The American Economic Liberties Project, an influential Washington-based anti-monopoly group, issued a report with guidance for antitrust enforcers in the next administration.

The group urged that the U.S. Justice Department make clear it will continue antitrust action against Google by expanding the scope of litigation beyond search to maps, travel and its app store. The report calls on the Biden administration to appoint aggressive Justice Department and FTC antitrust enforcers and urges Biden’s attorney general nominee, Merrick Garland, to “publicly commit to seeking a Google breakup.”

Backers of this view want antitrust enforcement to move away from the prevailing standard which only looks at whether consumers are benefiting from lower prices.

Bumbling Democrats had a chance to do this years ago. Goes to show you they are totally only for their team.

Joe 'The Great Divider' Biden

Sometimes delirious patients will start pulling at the oxygen tube keeping them alive. Any good doctors around?

These are the greatest companies in the world and make the U.S. what it is. Screw anyone who thinks they should be broken up.

They're interpreting law their own and despise privacy right, while they're the biggest sponsors of Biden

BIDEN ESTA COMPROMETIDO LE DEBE SU FRAUDE ELECTORAL A LOS MEDIOS Y LAS REDES

He will. Just needs the right leverage and 'major event' to do so.

Not going to happen. That's why they'd help in getting him elected

Biden likes what they did for her are you kidding! They hid Hunters laptop till after the election! WakeUpAmerica!!!

Every single one of these companies made money off of white supremacy, domestic terrorists, MAGA and being Russian lackeys. Break them up and charge their CEO and board of directors with treason!

Yeah. Break up big Gas and Electric companies while your at it.

Luckily Twitter doesn’t censor your story as long as the picture doesn’t have Twitter in it

That’s the least of our worries-terrorism,pandemic,poverty

Its what he should do but he cannot turn on his co criminals now. They are only doing what he wants them to do.

HA! are you joking? that is never going to happen now.

Isn't too late for that?

But first let’s get rid of the terrorist sitting on the throne.

WHO is 45’s “BASE” that all these republican politicians are afraid of? IF the “BASE” is Buffalo horn 🐃 man and those other domestic terrorists/animals ..YES ..they are SCARY-LOOKING for sure! LAWD! PLEASE ...tell me there are not MILLIONS of these things roaming streets!

Uh - No.

oh right like he did with credit card companies

Theyre on his side and destroying the voice of his enemies...highly unlikely

why would he? they’ve protected him this entire time

Agree! But let’s let them mess with some idiots first.

Lmao 0% chance corporate supremacist Biden does this. He's the wrong leader for this time in history...totally wrong

Why? Apparently they are the only things standing between democracy and fascism.

Yes, because if there is one thing holding back Biden it’s the big tech companies.

After trumps impeached and the GOP admits there was ZERO voter fraud
