12 execs who gained power during advertising giant Dentsu's massive reorganization

Laurel Flatt was chosen to lead the western division due to her role in building Dentsumcgarrybowen's headquarters in Chicago, where she was hired to run the Disney Parks and Resorts account in 2009. Over the past decade-plus, she was highly respected and close to top leaders at the agency, including Gordon Bowen and Jon Dupuis.

Prior to the promotion, Greenspoon led Dentsu in Canada after spending several years as Canadian CEO of digital experience design firm Isobar.Jacki Kelley joined Dentsu as president and chief client officer in early 2019 after years of experience at ad agencies and media conglomerates like Bloomberg Media, Martha Stewart Living, and USA Today.

One exec says Dentsu will now have two very different creative networks: the east coast division, focused on the sort of digital, social media, and experience design work 360i and Isobar have done for clients like HBO and Enterprise; and the more traditional campaigns Dentsumcgarrybowen produces for brands such as Marriott and Hallmark.

He held several top roles at Merkle in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, most recently serving as president of that region before moving to New York to oversee the US customer relationship marketing practice, which includes Merkle and 13 other agencies. Insiders say Law will also oversee Sellwin, a division formed from Dentsu's Amazon specialty agencies.In another key promotion, longtime media executive Doug Ray became Dentsu's first chief product officer in the Americas.
