Farmers and residents of Barangay Bulawan in Payao Town, Zamboanga Sibugay can now enjoy the benefits of a local farm-to-market road, which the Department of Public Works and Highways recently comple

ted.

Citing a report from the DPWH Region 9 office, Villar said the road rehabilitation project included the concreting of the once dusty and bumpy 1.7-kilometer one-lane road into a two-lane concrete paved carriageway. Upon its completion, travel time from Barangay Bulawan to Payao Public Market was reduced from 90 minutes to only 25 minutes.
