One type of property is defying Melbourne’s house price slowdown, with A-grade homes still selling like hot cakes.

“With more stock, there’s more choice for buyers. They now have the luxury of being more particular on what they’re looking for,” buyer’s agent Wendy Chamberlain said.… They’ll have a go at getting the A-grade one and their back-up plan is the B one.”Credit:Ms Chamberlain has often seen four to six bidders on top homes recently, while the rest might get only one or two, or even zero, before passing in and negotiating.. New listings were 37.

“The market at the moment is fairly promising, but obviously for us the more we get for this, then it allows us more opportunities with what we buy,” she said.Convenient homes in top locations are highly sought after.
