Fire has reportedly engulfed some parts of the popular Balogun Market in Lagos Island destroying valuables worth millions of naira.Some of the traders who arrived at their shops on Thursday morning with the hope of a promising day in anticipation of the festive season sales were heartbroken seeing their shops burnt, Vanguard reports.When SaharaReporters contacted the Lagos State Police Spokesperson, Adekunle Ajisebutu, he said he had yet to get a formal report on the incident.

Barely some days ago, shops at the popular Computer Village market in Ikeja, Lagos State were razed in a fire outbreak.According to the Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, Adekunle Ajisebutu, the fire outbreak emanated from one of the shops.“There was a fire incident at 18, Otigba Street, Computer Village, Ikeja early hour of today. The fire engulfed a shopping complex.“As soon as the report was received, firefighters were contacted and they arrived immediately.
