Mast company meets with concerned residents, politicians in Kerry

The community protest against the erection of a 20-metre mast in Inch has now entered its 52nd day. Access to the mast is being blocked by local protesters who are calling for its removal.

Four Kerry TDs - Minister for Education Norma Foley , Brendan Griffin , Pa Daly and Michael Healy Rae - also attended the meeting which took place in the Foley family home. The Foley family say they were shocked when they saw the scale of the new mast when it was erected in early December last. "We all negotiated skillfully and politely and at the same time forcefully on behalf of the community here. The answer is we want it taken away, we want it down," he said.

In a statement, Towercom said the mast has full planning permission and was being erected as a response to"a surge in public demand for better connectivity".

The company and the public should be required to put up $5 billion dollars in hedge against future physical damaged caused by willful negligence putting this so close to a residential property

‘We have to improve infrastructure in the country’........but not near me!

Swap out out for one of those masts that look like a tree...

Lee Harvey Oswald putting thoughts in our heads with those things.
