Taxi body Santaco fails to make the shortlist in a bid to acquire Mango Airlines.

JOHANNESBURG - The South African National Taxi Council has failed in its bid to acquire Mango airlines.

According to the carrier's business rescue practitioner, Santaco wasn't even shortlisted as a bidder.Bidders will ultimately acquire the entire share capital of Mango and any liability claims against the airline.It owes nearly R3-billion to creditors.However, the low-cost carrier Santaco Express never took to the skies.
