Dublin Airport is racing to hire security officers as Irish people head overseas following two years of restrictions, while ground-handling and other service businesses also confess that they face staff shortages. Mr Marín noted that aviation was no longer considered to be as attractive an employer as it was in the past.

There must 30 or so airlines flying in & out of Dublin. They would have been producing sales forecasts like any good company. The DDA should have used them to base expectations. Outside of doing something so simple is just incompetence.

Yep , 2 years , definitely not enough time to put a ramp up plan in place! If they were in private industry ( held accountable) they would have been sacked by now …. & Eamon Ryan ( aka Transport Minister ) would have been 1st out the door - FFG = Zero Accountability.
