To prevent traders in Ladipo auto-spare parts market from returning to the road, the Federal Government, yesterday, started reclamation of right of way with landscape work along the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway.

Hitech consultants and members of the Lagos State Task force yesterday in Ladipo, Lagos to kick off the project.. PHOTO: ENIOLA DANIELThis followed evacuation of encumberance on the area by Lagos State Environment and Special Offences Enforcement Unit , led by Chief Superintendent of Police , Shola Jejeloye on Sunday.

Consultant to Hitech Construction Company Limited, Ayodele Bada, told The Guardian that work will start in the place to prevent traders returning to the road. 45 meters from the edge of the road belongs to the government. So, we are doing the landscape work. All the illegal activities along the corridor will give way.
