“Albanese considering electricity market intervention”. Rightly so, the natural resources used to generate electricity belongs to the people of Australia. Resource companies mine and sell it for us. We therefore can intervene on the ‘price to us’.

if they get more taxes from gas miners then they would have the cash to give us gas subsidy Germany is spending $200bils on energy subsidy

A little bit of socialism. Thin edge of the wedge

Oh dear. Better get ready for a total disaster. Any time governments of any colour inject themselves into a market for anything watch out because they usually screw it up totally.

It’s market intervention that’s causing the problem. Like bringing in cane toads to control the cane beetles.

The funny thing is voter for the Labor party is low income people, you're never learn a lessons.

Totally cool and normal that we are totally energy self-sufficient but for some reason the gov lets energy producers sell overseas for more money

Shouldn’t of sold off the state owned power companies.

How on earth? We fucking have the resources in Australia.

We should have the cheapest electricity in the world but thanks to Labor and the climate hysterics we will have some of the most expensive.

Soo much for Albo's, renewable energy will create millions of news jobs & give us all cheaper power. The Australian Energy Regulator has warned the Federal Government that electricity prices will rise by 35 per cent in 2023 Unemployment to rise to 4.5% by 2025 fail

Coalition delayed news that electricity prices are set to rise until after federal election
