The Economic Freedom Fighters has called for the arrest of the Chief Executive Officer of the logistics company who truck caused a massive explosion in Boksburg. It’s understood thatThe red berets said the head of the logistics company that owned the truck must be arrested. “Ultimately, the CEO is responsible for all operations of the company and is culpable for the tragedy.“The authorities must not treat the CEO as a bystander. The lives lost and damage caused demand that someone is held accountable criminally and the CEO is the first respondent to this tragic crisis. Failure to arrest him before the end of the day will undermine any effort to hold the company accountable,” the party said.

and the nation at large, with horrifying scenes of bodies strewn across the area and victims of severe burns needing urgent medical attention.”added that the explosion reaffirmed its called to improve South Africa’s railway infrastructure to avoid the over-burdening presence of trucks on the roads. “Countless tragedies on our roads are a result of the transportation of goods, particularly minerals by trucks over long distances, and that a gas-tanker got stuck under a bridge confirms that South African roads and infrastructure are not suitable for the transportation of hazardous substances in civilian areas.”“We call for law enforcement agencies to continue to secure the area and all civilians to avoid the route until it is declared safe by the relevant authorities,” the party said.

Oh yawn....this EFF....

Under black power all transport rules, regulations & laws no longer apply. These affirmative action appointed drivers lack the common sense when transporting flammable cargo. There will be more & more if these disasters! Blame BEE, under that banner everything burns.Fact!

By that same logic - we should immediately arrest all taxi bosses ….. maybe the EFF is right.

Why do you need to keep reporting on the shit that spews forth from those pathetic terrorist tellytubies. You've become like their official mouthpiece...the EFF are collectively the worst people in SA, yet you keep quoting them...

Arrest Minister of Transport or whole of Department of Transport because the sign is rusted. You barely can't see the sign!

EFF is talking kaka

Did he drive the truck? Or instructed the driver to go under a bridge off the beaten track without checking if it would fit..? As per usual completely off track by the EFF.... Like arresting the CEO of Toyota because people are killed in minibus taxi accidents...

Did the CEO sit next to the driver and said go under that bridge?Seriously?

Mxm truck company for what manje

They really need to do that, such an irresponsible driver.
