The Garden State's latest investments will create 2,000 jobs.

by Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind to purchase mammoth steel monopiles manufactured by EEW at its Paulsboro plant as the foundations for the scores of wind turbines it will be anchoring to the ocean floor off of Atlantic City.on the Delaware River is the largest investment in supply chain manufacturing for the offshore wind industry in the nation.

As the chief sponsor, along with Assemblyman John Burzichelli, of New Jersey’s Offshore Wind Renewable Energy Credit law in 2010 and a driver of the Paulsboro and Wind Port projects, it is gratifying to see a nationwide offshore wind program finally moving forward in more than a dozen states with critical support from President Joe Biden.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Department of the Interior put the six leases awarded in the New York Bight — the continental shelf running 50 miles to 60 miles offshore from Monmouth County to Cape May County — on a fast-tracked regional environmental review that would provide federal approval by 2024, instead of the usual four years. Getting power from the New York Bight is critical to meeting Biden’s goal of 30 gigawatts of electricity from offshore wind by 2030.

The United States is a world leader in land-based wind energy with thousands of turbines running through the heartland from the Northern Plains to Texas supplying 136 gigawatts, or 9.1%, of the nation’s electricity, Despite this progress, we are still a latecomer to offshore wind, having just two pilot projects off Rhode Island and Virginia currently in operation.

In addition to using Paulsboro’s steel monopolies, Ocean Wind and Atlantic Shores each agreed to build manufacturing facilities for turbine housing components at the New Jersey Wind Port. Atlantic Shores is also setting up a pilot project there that will use wind energy to produce hydrogen for blending with natural gas to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Maybe also killing whales in the ocean

And a deathtrap for Whales.

'Climate Change' is one of the biggest scams ever perpetrated on the American people. Dirty Green solar and wind projects are bad for the environment, wildlife and economic health of our country. They DO NOT provide a steady uninterrupted supply of electricity.

Why has the Federal Government classified the number of Eagles killed by windmills as 'law enforcement sensitive' and refuses to release the number?

Dirty Green Windmills made by slave labor staffed, coal fired factories in Red China will kill marine life, destroy our fishing industry and not provide a steady, uninterrupted supply of power. How's that?

Yeah til it contaminates the ocean in 20 years. I mean as they are surveying the ocean bottom 4 whales have died is there a correlation? Needs to be investigated

Translation: Sweeney will benefit financially from increased windmill construction.

All of our efforts should be in the final development and construction of Small Modular Nuclear Reactors. Yes, I said that. They will last 3X as long as windmills in a salt environment. The facts are out there. Let’s be real.

Let’s be honest here. The cost per megawatt for off-shore wind generation is more than 15 times the price off on shore gas generation. Your taxes are funding this boondoggle. And you’ll pay again in rates.

Governor Murphy has reassured voters that these windmills won’t be visible from his villa in Italy.
