Boom! All the info about the three Van Leeuwen Ice Cream shops coming:

“We love D.C and are so excited to bring Van Leeuwen to the Nation’s Capital at last, we are lucky to have found three dynamic neighborhoods that will soon be home to our scoop shops,” says co-founder and CEO Ben Van Leeuwen. “We hope Washingtonians love our philosophy of ‘good ice cream that makes you feel good’ just as much as we do.”

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream was started out of a yellow scoop truck on the streets of NYC in 2008 by Ben Van Leeuwen, Pete Van Leeuwen and Laura O’Neill. Since 2008, Van Leeuwen has innovated beyond the original dairy recipe and added vegan ice cream to their scoopable lineup. In 2021, they launched their first line of dairy and vegan ice cream novelty bars.

Each forthcoming location will feature more than 30 of the brand’s signature flavors–including Honeycomb, Pistachio , Marionberry Cheesecake , and Earl Grey Tea –along with custom sundaes, handmade ice cream sandwiches, root beer floats, milkshakes and pints to-go. An extensive selection of Van Leeuwen’s famed vegan flavors, such as Churros & Fudge and Peanut Butter Brownie Honeycomb, will also be available.

Additionally, guests can expect special, to-be-announced, local collaboration flavors that will debut in tandem with each store opening.”
