The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) says despite having frequent engagements with former Eskom CEO André de Ruyter, he has never informed them that some ministers were part of the corruption in the embattled energy company.

The SIU head Advocate Andy Mothibi has instructed his team that is investigating corruption at Eskom to contact de Ruyter on his allegations that some ministers are part of the corruption at the power utility.

De Ruyter made the allegations in an interview with a private television station following his resignation. SIU spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago says the information that De Ruyter has on corruption is of interest to the SIU. “We’ve had engagements with the former CEO of Eskom from the beginning. When he arrived we had a meeting where we were briefing him on all these investigations and we had frequent engagements with him, but I can safely tell you now that he never told us about these ministers that are supposed to be involved in this.”

Kganyago adds: “But now that it is in the public domain, it is of interest to us because we are investigating under a proclamation and this is the kind of information that we need to know as the SIU. The head of the SIU Advocate Mothibi has instructed the investigating team in Eskom to call him and make sure that he gives us that information.”

Because he knew that be was going to be fired... let alone that the SIU is contaminated with corruption too

He did inform people.

The country knew it except the SIU.

They would surely say that. Nothing surprising about it. The question is why do they need him to tell them? Can they not investigate?

President Zuma told us long time ago about this and we didn't believe him. We believed stratcom. Am sorry baba for believing the enemy. You're the greatest president we ever had

So, the SIU has also been sleeping on duty?

Not to worry, like Pravin Gordhan they will remember when the evidence comes out!!!!

Because SIU fact finding /investigating is whack

So ,in their investigations ,the SIU could not find that there are some ministers who are part of corruption at ESCOM? Why are they still called 'SPECIAL'? Let them be called boMabena Investigative Unit.DeRuyterbgave them clue, let them act on those minister now

Watch his full interview here - Our Government is LOOTING Eskom!

I'm just going to leave this here:

Why did the SIU have frequent engagements with him?

Cadres have been systematically destroying SOE's, so Eskom shouldn't be immune, so, I believe this White guy, but, as capable as he's supposed to be, he couldn't separate the staff from the surveillance system so that even if it's broken, the staff doesn't readily know about it.

De Ruyter was always Useless, now he acts like he wanted to expose corruption only when he resigned, mxm bitter Former CEO, although we know ANC Cartel exists,he ate with them.

Palisade weaving

de Ruyter is a liar he went to Eskom to sabotage President Ramaphosa

The 'cough-state-captured-cough' SIU denies that De Ruyter informed them that some ministers were part of the corruption in the embattled energy company. SMH 'Special' is indicative not of this unit's nature but its needs.

Did we think that the SIU or any other law enforcement or security departments were going to admit they knew anything? Of course not, this is SA, pass the buck region.

De Ruyter has a lot to explain to the SAcns about the happenings that took place at Eskom.

He did not trust them.

Sabc is becoming Anc fake news propaganda

SIU is a government investigations unit formed by government, it gets told what to investigate, who to investigate by the those who formed it so even if De Ruyter told it before about corruption at eskom,it was going to consult first with presidency for green light to investigate

Lol funny thing is, they want him to feed them names, the same people who work so closely with siu. That's just stupid. Trust nothing in this country except your gut and own truth. No cop, no judge, no news channel and definitely not 1 single politician.

Why would he ? Lol...

Arrest him he will reveal his name if he think we are playing he better think again we want a name.

We are fortunately not anticipating any solution nor the truth for as long as we are governed by ANC. Just keep it to yourselves man.

😃HE WAS TRYING T SAVE HIS *ss 😃WHAT DID U EXPECT 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

He is just another waste of sperm and oxygen 🤗.....to be fair.

So De Ruyter was suppose to feed them every information while they were sitting in their offices drinking coffee and wine 🍷?

But they have StateCaptureReport done nothing hneeee

WatuJayP He wanted to leave it until last, law e for agencies must take him on for defeating ends of justice.

So he was supposed to mention ministers just like that in a country where whistle-blowers are not protected?
