Lancashire's answer to Clarkson's Farm with the 500-year-old family business that keeps on going

Arriving at the family-run farm in the Ribble Valley, I thought I had either taken the wrong turn or I was about to enter the depths of the countryside.

"We're very lucky, nothing will ever change, we're going to go down this route and you can't change it, it's worked for a long time," Emma told LancsLive. "Then I started thinking, because we're organic, the fee prices started going up, everything that we were buying in went through the roof and our profits were going down and I thought, we've got to change or we're going to go.

The couple rely their choice to move into the world of organic meat as when they had just set up their farm shop to sell their meat, Dairy Farmers of Britain that bought milk directly from farmers, went bankrupt. Ian added: "If I said in our top ten every week, there would be ox tail, there would be ox liver, there would always be raw milk. More often than not there would be offal burgers.
