JOHOR BARU: Several traders at a market here have been found selling goods above the prices set under the Festive Season Maximum Price Control Scheme (SHMMP), says Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub.

The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister said he had received complaints from the public about Larkin market traders selling goods at unreasonable prices.

"I have told enforcement officers to take appropriate action, whether it is a just a warning or to take more stern action if it is a repeated offence," he said at the Larkin market here on Friday . "We have conducted similar checks at several other locations and have yet to come across other such cases.
