🚧 Council takes action to force sale of A180 land for a new business park

North East Lincolnshire Council has applied for a compulsory purchase of land near the A180 in order to complete a multi-million pound business park.

Now, with highways and other infrastructure already in place, the council has applied to force-purchase the remaining land, which takes in three plots of land covering more than 34 hectares. earmarked for future phases of the park. It is estimated 2,000 full time equivalent jobs will be created as a result of the business park and the council has emphasised the need to secure the development “as quickly as possible in order to maximise economic growth and job opportunities”.

The scheme is part of the larger South Humber Industrial Investment Programme . A significant amount of infrastructure investment has been committed on the basis of the business park’s completion.
